This policy explains what information Shopbell ("Shopbell," "we," "us") collects through shopbell.ai and the Shopbell dashboard (app.shopbell.ai), and how we use and protect it.
1. Who we are
Shopbell provides AI voice agents that answer phone calls for local businesses. Our team is identified on our About page. You can contact us through our Contact page or by emailing admin@shopbell.ai.
2. Information we collect
- Account & billing information: name, business name, email, phone number, and billing details processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Call data: call audio, transcripts, and summaries generated when your Shopbell agent answers a call, including information callers share (name, contact details, appointment requests).
- Usage data: log data, device/browser information, and analytics from shopbell.ai and the dashboard.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and (where applicable) serve advertising. See Section 11 below for details.
3. How we use information
- To provide and operate the AI voice agent service, including booking appointments and delivering call summaries.
- To bill for services via our payment processor.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To improve our service, including agent quality and reliability.
4. Call recording & consent
Businesses using Shopbell are responsible for complying with call recording and disclosure laws in their jurisdiction, including two-party consent states. Shopbell provides configuration options for greeting disclosures; businesses must configure these appropriately for where their callers are located.
5. Sharing of information
We share information with service providers that help us operate Shopbell (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, and AI/voice model providers used to power your agent), and as required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain call transcripts, recordings, and account data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by contacting us.
7. Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing admin@shopbell.ai. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, but no system is 100% secure.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.

11. Cookies and advertising
shopbell.ai uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: required to operate the site and remember your preferences (such as your microphone permission for the AI concierge demo). These cannot be disabled if you want to use the site.
- Analytics cookies: if we add Google Analytics or another analytics tool, it will use cookies to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site. You can opt out of analytics cookies through your browser settings or via the analytics provider's opt-out.
- Advertising cookies: if and when shopbell.ai is approved for Google AdSense, AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other internet sites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
If we do not currently display advertising, this section applies if and when we begin to do so. We will update this policy at that time.
12. Third-party links and services
Our site contains links to third-party websites and uses third-party services (such as Stripe for payments and Google Fonts for typography). We do not control the cookie practices of third-party services and recommend reviewing their privacy policies separately.
